The Builders’ Association of India (BAI) was established in 1941 in Pune under the guidance of Brigadier Jackson. Since its inception, BAI has grown into a nationwide movement, with over 200 Centres across the country and its headquarters located in Mumbai. With a direct membership exceeding 15,000, including builders, contractors, traders, consultants, and industrialists, BAI stands as the singular and authentic voice of India’s construction industry.
In Kerala, BAI has established 16 active Centres. The Trivandrum Centre, formed in 1981, is the oldest among them. It was founded under the leadership of Er. P. Ratnaswamy, affectionately known as PRS, who served as the first Chairman. Since its formation, the Trivandrum Centre has consistently worked towards the advancement and development of the construction industry in the state.
